Read “The Relief Society and the Church” by Dallin H. Oaks,
Ensign, May, 1992.
Study about 3 women in the scriptures, like Eve, Mary, Abish,
Esther, Martha, etc.
Send a letter to a woman who has made a difference in your life.
Learn more about a woman who has shaped history. Share what you
have learned with the sisters you visit teach or your visiting teachers.
Learn about the history of the Relief Society.
Study the divine qualities of a daughter of God. Think about how you can discover and develop
each of these qualities. Record your ideas in your journal.
Ask your mother or another mother you admire what she thinks are
important attributes for being a mother (not only to biological children, but
to all those we come in contact with). Choose one of these attributes and
strive to develop it.
Ask a family member or friend to write down positive qualities the
Lord has given you. Ponder how you can continue to develop these gifts and use
them to serve your family and others.
Read a message given by a member of the new or past General Relief Society presidency.
